The following abbreviations are used by the MRC and the ARRL to represent features of each repeater system.

e  –        Emergency Power
ARES –   Amateur Radio Emergency Service
RACES – Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service
LiTZ  –    Long-Tone Zero for emergency alerting

CTCSS –  In/Out (ex: 141.3/141.3)  Used in FM systems
DCS –      Digital Code Squelch (a number)  Used in FM systems
CCnn –    Color Code (a number)  Used in DMR systems
DSQ –      Digital Squelch (a number) Used in Fusion systems
